The Augustiner am Platzl function rooms are located on the first floor. This area has its own bar, its own bathrooms, and its own dedicated kitchen for functions and banqueting events. It can also be accessed via a private entrance if preferred, rather than through the tavern. This enables your event to be run completely separately from the tavern.
All our banqueting rooms can be booked individually, or combined together to host up to 220 guests.

As soon as you’ve decided on the date, we’ll hold the room provisionally for you for a number of days. If you’d like to confirm your booking, simply get in touch with our banqueting team and we’ll take you through all the details.
Our tavern is located in the heart of Munich’s city centre, right on the famous ‘Platzl’ – the corner of Orlandostasse and Münzstrasse.
There are three large car parks in close proximity: Parkhaus Hofbräuhaus (open 24 hours), Tiefgarage Marienplatz (open 24 hours) and Operngarage (open 6 a.m. – 2 a.m.).
Unser Team stellt Ihnen auf Anfrage gern ein individuelles Angebot zusammen. Ein Probeessen ist selbstverständlich nach Vereinbarung möglich.
Younger guests (aged 12 and under) can choose from our comprehensive children’s à-la-carte menu. We are also happy to put together a personalised set children’s menu if you prefer.
For all events, we agree a minimum spend with you for each room booked. This means that you usually don’t have to pay any additional room hire for your booking. The minimum spends for each room are: Bierkutscher Stube (€750), Schäffler Stube (€2,000), Augustiner Saal (€4,000) and Isarstube (€900, bar / thoroughfare). If you do not reach the agreed minimum spend for your booking, we will calculate the difference and charge this as room hire.
We accept the following means of payment:
cash, credit cards and debit cards (chip & pin or contactless). We do not accept American Express. In the case of events, we can also raise an invoice for payment via bank transfer.
Our many years of experience in the events industry means that we have plenty of valuable connections when it comes to DJs, bands and musicians. Let us know what kind of thing you’re looking for and we will contact the relevant provider once your booking contract has been signed.
We are able to include options for lighting and sound as part of our proposal for your booking.
You are welcome to bring your own decorations. However, please get in touch with our banqueting team who will discuss the details and advise on any restrictions.
Our tavern usually closes as midnight, but we are happy to discuss a later finish for your event (subject to a small fee: €30 per member of staff scheduled to work at your event).
